fj40 manual hubs removel

Post by jumper »

how do you get the manual hubs off
off so far
hub lid spring and gear
nuts and cone washers holding hub body
snap ring on end of drive shaft
hub body moves away about 1-2cm then stops

what am i missing?

asin(spelling) brand of hubs

Got Asin's on my cruiser and cant recall having any problems getting them off? Some of my cruisers have had the circlips on the end of the axles but not all of them.

Do they just need a bit of persuasion to come off the spline?

probably the groove where the circlip goes on the end of the shaft may have a bruise on it making the splines bind up in the hub as it comes up to it

just a guess but thats what i would be looking for, as you said, you arent missing any..... thing that i can think of
