get an impact socket that is a couple of sizes too small and bang it on with a hammer then undo with a power bar.

yup buy a socket that's one size to small and smash it on then undo with a rattle gun if ya got one or powerbar should only need to crack it also try drilling threw the top of nut if its a sealed type and spray some CRC or WD40 in there to help loosen it up

Yup cold chisel sometimes works, ton of crc/wd40 then try smack it anticlockwise with the chisel tip and hopefully it will bite into the nut, used this method on a car years ago when the wheel locknut socket the seller gave me didnt fit.
Also smaller socket works well on lots of rounded nuts, the star shape ones usually work better than plain hex sockets. Make sure to use a good old one or impact gun socket (black hardened steel), cheap sockets usually just split in half :P
