Hi! Been lurking round the forums looking at threads for a fair while now and decided to show a face. I have a extremely tidy 96 Surf 3.0 turbo Diesel with the basic mods done, 3 inch lift, 33inch mud tyres, 9 inch hid spotlights (it's my baby, and daily driver). Looking at getting into some 4wding, have done some basic off-roading while on a mates farm frequently hunting for rabbit and possums and some stuff in a mates terrano up muriwai beach. As it's my daily driver (and being a student (at 18 years old) studying to be an auto sparky) I'm not planning on doing anything to intense. Have been having a look at doing a 4wd up woodhill but not sure on how hard the tracks are up there for a beginner. Will add some photos of my truck soon!

Woodhill is as hard as you want it to be, plenty of tracks there that are just about 2WD territory but there are also truck swallowing bogholes if you feel like destroying your truck  But there is usually a bypass around most obstacles.

I was like you about 5 years ago before I got into wheeling.
Just wait till its dry out ther then go for a good days hoonin.
With it being dry you can be sure you can travel the whole park safely without getting into any trouble, its then up to you what you pick n chose to do. Im personally not a fan of just throwing my truck in a mud hole . I like the tech stuff and hill climbing when you can generally back out of if need be.
