3y engine noise

So i just brought a hilux with a 3y engine after 5-10 mins driving it starts to make a odd sound under accaliration sounds a little like an exhalst leack and pinking but can pin point problem any advice would be grate

could be the exhaust where the twin down pipe meets the single,
if its a ticking sound under acceleration its a good place to start looking

I've still got harrys commy auto and transfer case in my garage, come pick that up and ditch the 3y!
