There is a lot of stuff to change and most of it is rare in 12volt. Why do you want to change it?

Things like heater/cabin fan/etc it will be easier to get rewired to 12v
You will start having issues when you strike all the relays will not close due to lack of voltage and same issues with dash warning globes etc
Im picking that you've done a 8 transplant
I changed all this stuff over when i did the 8 into lc jobby
It was the relays that i had the biggest headaches with.
I got over the dash issue by manufacturing a complete new one as none of the gauges worked

the guys I know that have done were lazy and just run a 24v alt :? .
afaik it should be ok as all the dash etc is 12v. other than swapping the bulbs over to 12v jobbies. if you just run power feed into the 12v side of the factory invertor cant see any issues.
and change all the relays to 12v which should simple as the patrols are 12v so should be able to use factory parts/ numbers.

cheers guys,
still got the TD42 just sick of unbalancing batterys and having to convert 24v to 12v for accessories ect, just all round had it with having a 24v safari, been looking for a 12v diesel patrol for awhile and swapping lift and tyres over but people selling standard gq patrols are dreaming with there prices

Get a charge equalizer and you will not have any more battery balance problems, you will then also be able to run some 12v accessories off of one battery.

A 30 amp model is big enough for most applications.
