Hi All, my names Haydn. Have a 93 vx landcruiser that I am looking to make a bit more off road capable. It is stock standard at the moment and performs ok whilst offroad, so any suggestions on what is wise to spend $ on without breaking the bank.
Any suggestions welcome from those with more experience.

Welcome to the slippery slope
There is a huge amount of knowledge here on ORE. I started out with a stock standard 40 series. Best early improvement I made was a set of good quality tires. Then it was on to things like recovery gear and shovels etc... not to mention the tools needed to straighten out the front guards so I could get to work on monday
Talk to the likes of Skid on the board here about getting out and about if gravel roads arent doing it for you any more
hope this helps a little bit
David

There's gotta be some rocks round here SOMEWHERE!
Re: New Guy WLG
Thanks David, yes it's also a daily driver so don't have the luxury of being able to bend it (as yet) I'm definitely keen to explore the country side so I'll look to touch base with Skid. I have been on a couple of the family shiny trips that the local club runs here and they have been good fun, but i am already getting the urge to go further (bitten by the bug already).
Thanks for your advice.

Re: New Guy WLG
Get the usual stuff first tow hooks are the first thing and then something to connect them i.e. snatch strap/rope and you should have a good think about what sort of tracks you will be doing because it's not much good going and buying a set of 31" at's then go out on a trip and decide you now want a set of 35" mt's.
Re: New Guy WLG
Thank Zukmeista, appreciate the advice. I have been looking at tires MT's 33's as i think i can get away with them on the cruiser without a lift at this point? Not sure if any knows for sure? or if anyone in WLG has a set (or just one) that would fit a cruiser so i could try before i spend $
