righto ive finished the 6 point cage and created mountings for rear radiator and lpg tank.
next task is to create and manufacture the spare wheel carrier.
the only place that the wheel will fit is above the tank sitting on the same plane as the cages back stays, which the lpg tank will then sit below the wheel.
the issue is that the wheel is going to be approx 4' off the ground and getting it up there by ones self is going to be very heavy. i thought of using the winch rope up over the roof, maybe through a guide, as an idea but i want that as a last resort.
i have scene out and about where chaps have manufactured up a hinge type of thing.
im after ideas on what works and what doesn't a maybe amalgamate several ideas into one usable system
photos and drawings would be handy as well
cheers in advanced

Why not make up a simple swing out crane with a boat winch on it. I saw one rigged up like that somewhere

yeah thought of something like that but thought it might look a bit gay
if i was to go down that line then using the winch over the roof would do similar job

email them to yourself and upload to photobucket from the computer?
Can you make the wheel mount hinged such that it all folds down to a lower point (that you can lift the wheel to) and then when its bolted to the mount you then fold the mount back up and bolt the hinged assembly to you roll cage support bars?
No idea if you actually have space for such a system.
