Internal Aerial? Where is it?
Internal Aerial? Where is it?
Does anyone know where the radio aerial is on a 95 bighorn? Finding it diffucult to trace the aerial wire through the dash.

Are you looking for the end that goes into the radio
I only ask because the mast end was on top of the L/H front guard on the last one I saw, and it would be hard to miss

Possible it may be one of those ones that sets a thin wire inside the laminate of either the rear window or one of the rear side windows
Not 100% on which it would be though.

No sign of a plug or any wire in the windscreen maybe it has been repalced at some stage. The rear windows all have the bar demisters in them but no sign of an aerial. Might have to dig deeper into the dash.

Check how many wires you have on your demister. Should only be two plugs on each (pos and neg obviously). If there is an extra on the window this will be your aerial. If the screen has been replaced there should still be a spade type terminal hanging loose, normally wrapped with foam. The more i think about it the more i'm thinking it is on one of the rear side glasses in the boot.
***Got the balls, just ain't got the bucks***
Each rear side glass had a single wire for the demister going to it. One of the side glasses must have been replaced at some stage as the plug goes to nothing and there is no demister on that side. I tried a peice of wire off the plug that is meant for that side window and it didnt effect the reception.
I noticed the rear window has two plugs going into it and when i opened and closed the door the radio reception changes a little so i assume its in the rear window. Everything is in tact and seems fine so the lack of reception problem must be somwhere else
