Has any one bought headers for their 40'series 350 conversion before? Can one get pipes that flare away from the block and to the out side of the chassis?
I might have to get a quote to have them custom made but I can't use block hungers or shorties as they pass in side the chassis where I have my radiator pipes running to the Safari radiator at the back of the truck and if they could fit there the pipes would be under the chassis and get banged up.
I got Ramhorns on now but the right side has multiple cracks and thought of upgrading but may just settle for another second hand set if some one has?

Re: 40Series 350 headers
i have a set of headers here that may be alright.
i went down the path of having them out side of the chassis but shied away from it due to the amount of engine movement and chassis twist that will put forces onto the exhaust ports mounting studs.
its good for a dragster with a solid mount engine and chassis, but for our needs, maybe not so good
where abouts are you??

Re: 40Series 350 headers
Nice over rails.............!!!!! Big bucks? My engine mounts are quite hard so not much flex there. I don't care if I have to cut holes into the fenders or any where really being a bush truck. I just want it to work and sound mean. It sounds pretty damn good now by with cracked headers its a matter of time before they blow through...........
