There are only 50 vehicles allowed on the 4x4 National Park event and quite a few registrations are already made. These annual events are not designed to break vehicles, but do require 4WD and some skill. Because they are largely on farmed lands, a convoy system is used to manage the groups and the gates.

There's still some places available on this event and registrations close on this coming Friday 21 Feb.
Accommodation at 'The Park' is now full but there's camping down the road at a DoC campsite or talk with The Park about alternative options for local accommodation.

With a maximum of 50 vehicles, these events flow quite well.
