Yota high mount winch..?

HEy everyone.. Just in need of some info really.. can the motors be interchanged with others..? Bert has one and is 24v and is changing to 12v.. but needs change the motor.. im not sure but pretty sure.. :lol:

can anyone confirm you can do this..?

I think you can change the motors but i havnt tried myself...

I hear you can also get the motor rewound to make it 12V but I dont know if you want to go down that road

You can get/make an adaptor to fit a warn style motor to the Toyota winch. There really well built units but the rope comes off the top and not the bottem like all others seem to.

You can put a 12 volt motor off an factory 80 series cruiser low mount on as I have done. Some prado's also had them. You can get factory 12 volt hi mount and they came on very early Prado's.

same one in wellington was selling them on trade me a few years a go
my Toyota winch set up with warn xp motor and larger drum
