Hi, new here. Have just bought a 97 Cherokee for towing only, it's lifted I "think" 3 inches with Skyjacker shocks and springs.
I'm considering lowering it back to standard height, have the original springs/shocks with it. Partially due to towbar being too high now for our trailers to fit nicely, and partly to make it nicer to drive. Would put on original rims with 30x9.5x15 tyres I have.
Question is, are the Skyjacker springs and shocks etc worth anything?
Sorry if its a dumb question, I'm new to Cherokees and 4WDs, just liked the idea of a grunty tank for towing.
Cheers guys.
Lifted Jeep Cherokee, whats this gear worth?

if ya gonna use it for towing throw a after market oil cooler in it ...trans are strong but hate heat ...oh and water but that's another story ....
depends on lift and whats there ...shocks, front coils, rear leafs and if its add a leaf or full pack ......

Find out the new price and half it. It will be a good starting basis

Cheers guys, put a set of 30x9.5x15 on today and it drives and handles much "smoother" now, so will leave it for short time. Only problem is the towbar is a bit high now, maybe will get a longer downward tongue welded on? Mainly towing a 7X4 caged trailer full of wet wood rings, and another trailer to carry 2 quads...not too heavy. But the Rav4 before the Cherokee was useless at towing, and to be honest used as much fuel almost.
I think its just springs and shocks, there are raising blocks on the rear diff which look very much like home made welded plates into a small box to provide lift.....
Yeah water, just taken radiator out and flushed it a few times and soaked it inside with CLR for 20 mins and flushed out multiple times, was pretty clean anyway..I hear they overheat readily in the states, but much hotter there. Heater core was pretty clean too, temp sits just under half on the gauge so seems all good. Trans cooler mounted in front like small radiator, unsure if its factory or aftermarket.
Cheers

Check out Off Road Secialites pricing their basic lifts are 1100 new so would give you some comparison, I sold similar for about 450 on a zero reserve auction so trade me might be your answer
