45 Series Cruiser Tidy Up

Post by Noeyedeer »

So....... many moons ago I aquired this......

And decided to give her a bit of a tidy up with the plan to put her back on the road.......

...........and progress pretty much stopped there

Fast forward two years and 1/2 a house extension, I aquired a donar fj45 wreck with a 350 sbc (which needs a rebuild) , gear box with adaptor and transfer case running twin pto winches front and rear, modified drive shafts and mounts etc. So pretty much everything I needed to do a straight swap over :D
Fast forward another year and a half, a finished house extension and a mortgage blow out and I was starring down the barrel of my 40th year of existance. So what does one do? One decides to pull his finger out and get the f#@kn thing swapped over and driving so I can use it before I turn 60  So this is whats gone down in the last three weeks.

Moved truck to the cuzzies flash as man cave..........He into hotrods and all things that run on fossil fuels, is very handy on the spanners and probably the main motivator, engineer, fabricator, sparky, welder and all round good bastard on the project.

Image

Image

Out with this.......

Image

To make room for this......cuzzy rebuilt this one to sell to get some money for another project he had lined up but I managed to wrangle it off him by giving him my motor and some cash his way :D

Image

But first a bit of a tidy up.........

Primo!

Now you've sorted the motive power you can return it to its glorious original colour :D

I see you're a fellow westie, we will have to get a few of these old cruisers together and go for a skid
