Post by Jeeper »

Hi All

Im gonna go ahead and get the breathers done on the 999 and was wondering if anyone has had a shop do this, whether they were happy and what they roughly paid.

Cheers and happy new years

Try.

Garry Coggan - Central Motoring (Jeep guy)

I think he has done a couple

i had mine done by The Gearbox Factory - Henderson
http://www.gearboxfactory.co.nz/

The charge was about 300 - 400 over the cost of the rebuild after i drowned it... :(

Expensive but motortech4x4 might be able to do it. Call them for a quote, gearbox factory would probably be cheaper and their bread and butter

Man I'd love to get into this myself but I live in an old bach with a 40 degree driveway leading up to a leaky garage designed to (at a pinch) house a Triumph Herald. Also I dont have any means to weld the old breather in the pump housing shut. I dream of the day I have a high stud double garage and workbench.....
