Took the Cruiser in for a Wof today...fail.
Must be a cruiser thing as the "R" word came up again...
Not to mention also a rear axle seal that's leaking pretty bad

At least I was able to do the radiator hoses on the sisters starlet.

Got back into the garage and started to work out rope run for the rear winch...
Got it 90% sussed.....Will do some more on Sunday....
New laser pointer works great to compare run on truck to that on bare chassis...Next is to run some string....
Planning to use as little deflections in the rope run as possible...
So far its only 2 and only a wee bit each time...
Will throw up some photo's when I run the string...
String lines run... One on passengers side for PTO which is a proven run..
Drivers side a new concept... Works on the chassis and when transposed to the truck it passes over the top of the 4wd actuator on the transfercase. And gets close to the brake lines at the rear of the engine mount.. A few tweaks here and there or maybe a new line will solve any rubbing issues...lol

Thought I needed to replace a wheel bearing, but on further investigation found free wheel hub had spring let go and clutch dog had locked in so driving front axle full time.

Pulled apart and serviced it and headed off to Odlins track with lax2wlg.
Had an awesome day and now have more rattles and bangs to locate and subdue

Another Molesworth trip (was going to come up to say hi Suza but my boy tipped me off my tube just then, by the time I surfaced you were rolling)
Up from Chch yesterday, through the newly opened road with a picnic and a swim. (good condition farm tracks in the dry, few spots could be greasy after rain). Then back over Island Pass and camped in the Edwards by the hot pool. Still pretty black and sludgy but nice and warm. Quick drive down to the Waiau this morning and back out as the NW rain started pushing down the valley.

Went up the mungatooks yesterday to give the new locker a thrashing.

Great trip all the way up to the summit. Managed to lean against a bank and destroy the drivers door and rear pillar and drop into a huge hole in the river and flood the truck over seat height.

Great day out.

Saturday night Andy and I went too see a mate who got us a pretty awesome price on Rollcage tubing then went and lent us his truck to use for the weekend to get the tube back to mine

So I returned the favor and installed a light bar on his truck

Big thanks to Craig (Datsunsafari) and Andy (Andy3542) for helping me get a bit more achieved with my truck...

FINALLY got to finish welding the last bits of steel into the truck, now just to tidy up and bog, prep, paint.

Got some fancy new door cards cut and the old ones stripped out ready for wind ups
