When I turn left, sometimes, maybe 50% of the time, once past half lock I sometimes get a creaking sound, or one large creak/knock.
Went to get it tested at a local suspension shop - it is the three front diff mounts - all loose. What would cause that I wonder? The control arm bushes are all fine. Maybe the previous owner ran it in 4WD?
The price of the parts in NZ is crazy. I am looking at a place called Milners in the UK. It will probably be cheaper with postage.
Also - has anyone done this job? I have a Pajero manual and it looks kind of similar. The shop wants like, $700 to change the bushes. Crazy! And also, I wonder if there are replacement bushes that came in halves - easier to fit etc.

Looks like a place in the UK is going to work. Milners. The mount shop didn't have them. A quick question - if the diff mounts are worn a bit, I am guessing it is not unsafe to drive if I don't use 4WD. I mean, without 4WD there are not too many forces acting on the front drive mechanism - am I right? It will take a few weeks before the parts arrive ...
