1994 SWB horn??

Hey guys im new to this site.
Have a issue with my horn it only works wen the
Key is off or pulled out and not wen it is on or the
Car is running.

I just fixed this on my vitara. If its like mine, the horn isn't earthing properly and it will only work with the key out as the key assembly allows the horn to work. With the key in, what ever is completing the circuit (im guessing the steering lock maybe) in the ignition assembly no longer does and the horn doesn't work. I think the steering is bushed so effectively insulated from the rest of the car.
Took ages for me to figure out why. It still passed wof's as they tested it with the key out
