Any tyre / wheel alignment gurus?
My tyres are wearing oddly.
Not toe in/out or incorrect pressures.
Wear is on the inside, every 2nd pad (?) is worn. See pic
RS5000 shock bout 2 yrs old.
D21 Pathfinder.
Cooper STs.
Any ideas? Thanks.

you had that too huh?
time for some new inner top A arm bushes. Mistral has the same issue being the D21's identical brother when it comes to the chassis.
It would seem that even though the bushes appear okay they seem to break down in density and allow too much movement with the lateral forces of steering are applied.
...seemed it was forever needing wheel alignments till we changed these. now you can let go of the steering wheel and it stays straight as an arrow and my KL71's are dead even in wear right across the tread. 20,000 k's from new.

Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.

Ask the tyre guys, they'll blame the suspension, ask the suspension guys and they'll blame the tyres.
Having had a finger in both games, I think tyre design is the biggest culprit, some tyres are more prone to it than others (I challenge anyone to show me a Dunlop AT2 that isn't scolloped) and so are some vehicles, but it can be a combo of all these other things mentioned above too.
Good shocks will help, as will PROPER alignment setup (not just to stock specs) but at the end of the day, sometimes you just have to live with it, and follow hachi's advice and keep 'em rotated regularly.
D21....check the idler bushes, centerlink and upper arm inners (as previously mentioned).
