Isuzu bighorn Help what have i broken here?

so went to drive off from home this arvo and cud here a scraping rubbing squealing clunky noise. look underneath and my drivers side front hub assembly look like this...........
After talking to a mate he mentioned a swivel kits?

Does this look like whats gone wrong?
Is driving this short distance ie to get it fixed/ acquiring parts local guna do more damage re oil/diff?

And ruffly ballpark what am i looking at parts /labour cost?

any help appreciated as im all new to this 4wd game, had the truck a week and shes toast......

Looks like you have a stuffed CV. No swivel hubs on your truck.
Pretty simple really... Most garages should be able to do it...
As for $$$ no idea as I do all my own.

Looks like its just a torn cv boot - however the clunks etc suggest the cv itself could be flogged. No biggie - just don't use 4wd till you have fixed it

Its possible the auto hubs are stuffed and the front is running all the time or if its a later model with TOD then they run the CVS all the time.

Don't buy a cheap Chinese CV as the boots are shit and the CVS are weak.

If you have access to some tools and a jack then this is doable at home. Buy a complete second hand CV/axle from trade me and fit the whole thing. Split the inner CV and undo the top ball joint and remove the auto hub assembly.

its a 93, manual hubs, 3.1 td short wheel base

Where are you in this small country of ours? someone maybe handy to you to show/help advise on the issue .

im in kapiti, wellington area, got a mate local thats fairly handy with acquiring parts so il go see him monday see about a cv kit and see how much gold coast will sting me to put em in, may as well get the universal done at the same time as previous owner said thats on its way out too

noise turned out to be rocks stuck behind the brake guard (face palm)

goes in on wednesday for new inner and outer cv boot and new universal

crisis averted, thanks for all your help guys,

I checked my truck tonight and have torn an inner boot on my weekend outing. Job to do this week before Sundays trip up odlins.
