Send de-ranged a pm. I'm sure he had a bright yellow 5l motor in his workshop.

I priced a 5LE short block through Toyota a while back. List price was 12 000, they offered one at just over 4000.
Worth a thought?

All sorted, have bought a complete Long Block Brand spanking for just under $6k from a friendly dealer. will be bolting 2lt turbo set up etc on and making up a pump. need to read up on this now.

What about a ct26 off a 13bt?

im not much up to speed on which turbos suit which motors. think ive got a ct20 from a 2.4 prado to put on this motor, and will just run with that. its all going in my old mans landrover. just wanting reliable and nice to drive, no big power but better towing etc. its not going to be a heavy vehicle.
But you've got me wondering if that turbo would suit my 1kz better than the ct12b? that's currently on it. HHmmm.

imho i would say with the factory 1kz turbo just because its oe

but hay im pulling the 13bt out in a couple of months and was looking at parting the turbo etc off it so throw the thinking cap on and talk to me

yeah, it just doesnt like the boost im running with the manual pump. might just send it to steve murch when ive got the cash. easy that way.
