Parts wanted!

Post by escudoboy99 »

Hey all. Im after some bits and peices for my zuki. For a start im wanting:
A pair of 1600 vitara front hubs (Complete assembly).
Some LWB V6 vitara springs or similar. Or any lift springs people have to offer. Let me know on prices for them and we can sort out something.

I have also got a collection of zuki parts that im wanting to sell off, so if anyone needs anything let me know and it check if I have anything.
Cheers Mitchell

hey mate im in auckland on the north shore. do they use the commy springs in the front or rear set up. i currently have fts 3 inch lift springs in my swb v6. but they are too saggy with the front weight. need to get the front abit higher so im looking at other spring choices.

it a roadie? I have some rear vl commodore springs that would fit the front. They aren't as nice a fit as aftermarket springs though so I'd keep em for offroad only.
ea falcons give another inch over the commys. The vl's gave ~2in lift and were real stiff.

Its heading towards being more offroad use then being a roadie as well. thats a good idea about the falcon springs over commie. do u know what type of falcon springs would be suited? could leave the 3 inch fts rears in and just play around with different springs. i also have 1.25 inch spring spacers up front which give 2.5inchs of lift when installed. might work with commy springs

Yeh if i was you id spend the cash on some springs from autolign, the ones i put in the 1600 gave me close to 3" lift, and then even after i swapped them into the 2litre truck with alot more weight in the front...was still the same or very close amount of lift. Rides mint on and offroad

I think that they would sagg to much Oneinkedgeek so im looking for something strong and stiffer.

"Swamped", I was wondering if these would be suitable or not?

Looking at that I would say the diffs are the 5.12's same as a manual . Its not always the case but the only different ones I have personally seen come from a carbed auto . All the 16v auto are 5.12s . Only question may be some 8v SPI autos could have has 4.62's but I have not seen one . Only pulled about 7 or 8 apart so a wrecker would know more .

Guess what I am saying is its worth a count .

Yes that's right. The common ratios or the 1600 vitara's are 5.125 manual and 4.875 auto. Mine is a v6 manual vitz and it came standard with the auto ratio's so i have converted to 5.125 which gives me those extra revs. im keen on the hubs imsohi cheers

I may have some of the falcon springs, will have a look in the next few days.

I also have a few other bits and pieces to get rid of: I found a pair of Monroe struts (std height) today and have a m5000 winch (with m6000 for parts). Also looks to be a front diff in parts (alloy housing, 4.? Gears), prop shaft, drum brakes, steering shaft with bits4vits spacers, a 2+" body lift kit, maybe a CV or two (26 spline) and miscellaneous other suspension crap.

Anything of interest?

We added power steering - there is a longer steering shaft and the spacers were no longer required.

And we replaced the modified 2" body lift with a bits4vits 3" one.

Didn't see the falcon springs today while scratching around - but one box still to check.

EDIT - nope, falcon springs gone. Must have put them out in the last cleanout.
