3.5 pajero fast idle?
3.5 pajero fast idle?
Decided to clean out my throttle body on my 3.5 pajero 1995 and cleaned my o2 sensor in petrol run fine but now the idle wont drop under 2000 rpm any ideas
Re: 3.5 pajero fast idle?
Not a good idea to mess with the o2 sensors sometimes but sounds more like an air leak, assuming you removed the throttle body to clean it so make sure there's no air leaks where its been removed and bolts back up.
Good way to find leaks is to spray engine start or CRC around seals of the intake parts you removed and listen for change I rpms when some gets sucked in the hole.

The computer will have self adjusted to allow for the build up in the throttle body, so now you have cleaned it out it will idle high.. Disconnect your battery for a few minutes and then reconnect and try again.
