Just a refresher, this mod applies to the '2WD steering mod' that solves the problem of drag link roll.
The 2wd steering mod involves replacing the draglink/tierods with those from a 2wd Navara, except the draglink is mounted on top of the pitman/idler, not underneath.
This is pretty much identical to the Toyo, Mitsu, Isuzu, Suzuki, Chevy, Ford IFS steering setup and allows the inner tie rod to pivot with the wheel as it cycles.
For a few years now Lots of people around the world have been running the '2wd steering mod' with great results compared to the troublesome factory setup. Mine has seen some hard use with the bi-polar front LSD with zero issues.
The purpose of this further mod I came up with is to eliminate the curved inner tie rod end, strengthening the whole link and forcing the outer to be the fuse in the event an extreme hit.
Regarding the idler arm, the best thing I ever did was rip it out and replace it with another steering box. This eliminates it as a maintenance item and eliminates it as a potential weak point.
Crash I challenge you to Combine the 2wd draglink, tierods and idler delete and try to break it with your Cusco front LSD and 32s
This is as strong as you can make it without getting an FJ80 tierod reamer involved
