Whats this worth?

This Paj has caught my eye but i have no idea what it is worth.

Im pretty sure its not worth $6k but there is nothing else on trademe that is similar to give me a gauge of value. Anyone have any ideas?

I would agree it's not worth $6k, looks reasonably tidy would pay to give it a good check over for rust, if motor driveline etc all going sweet then possibly $4-$5k, also the seller appears to be a car dealer so will probably pay a higher price that through a private sale.

Cool thanks for that. That is what I was thinking. I have been in contact with the guy and he is a "mobile dealer". Don't really know how that works but I will make sure I go over it very thoroughly

Haha yeah the front mount definitely concerns me. And the fact they have gone to trouble of getting rid of the stock bonnet with the scoop in it.

I went to go look at it yesterday but the guy bought the Prado his was selling instead of the pajero. Pain in the ass. Hopefully get to look at it this week.

really? $6k?
we bought our 89 with a certed Nissan diesel for $400,
capable enough 4wd but imo he wouldn't have paid more than $1500 on that.
take $2k cash and $500 in the back pocket if you're staunch enough you will own it and retain you $500.
or at least drag along a compression tester and take a sample of oil away to be tested.

If he's presenting himself as a "mobile dealer" makes sure to ask if he's a licensed motor vehicle dealer and makes sure it says so on the paperwork. If you're going to pay dealer rates you want the legal protections that go with it.

Ive searched the register for him ...cant find him so prob not a licensed dealer ....id be very cautious.
