Anyone ever fitted a glow plug timer before?

Post by kiwiginga »

Right so i bought a glow plug timer from a repco special for $70 intending on putting it on my ford courier. Trouble is, what wires do i connect? Are there a couple of wires behind the Ignition system. I do know how to connect to the Glow plug relay but I'm just having trouble with the whole ignition side of things.
Any help would be appreciated

Cheers in advance

Are you just looking for a positive feed that is live with the ignition in the run position?

Do you have access to a multimeter?

Yea I've got a multimeter. What about the starting position though?

Run a lead from a 12v switched live.

You will need a circuit that is only live in start and run. Your meter should allow you to find the a circuit.

I use a large pin with my meter to allow me to easily probe wiring.
