With all this great weather and time off, trucks all but finished rang the cert man last week he wants a precert warrant done, got off phone from him and rang garage booked in warrant for friday morning so that gave me a deadline to work to as such.
So set about finishing putting interior back together, made some conveyer belt flares to cover the 33s and pieced back together a 2.5 inch exhaust I had got off a ln61 surf it only had one muffler so was really loud on the 3rz as the turbo on the diesel would have muffled it alot so added a bullet muffler resonatory thing into the mix which has made it alot quieter at idle at least.

then the kids two dogs and I took it for a fang, wow like night and day compared to the 3y it can light up the 33s on the seal in 2nd, and is pretty crazy on the gravel up to 3rd gear.

The steering is abit sloppy with the bigger tyres has a mind of its own, so think the tiny 28yr old damper might need replaced.

anyway well see how it goes friday morning.

Thanks Stu

Wish I had a cert guy like yours the cert guy I rang told me I need to drive shaft hoops on mine mines two piece shaft aww mines not the best on gas $100 gas gets me 380 to 400kz only just on my 33 MUDs. it's way better on gas when I have my little a/t 30s on but looks out of place with the truck as high as it is

thats exactly the same milage im getting it works out about 13l/100ks.
I used to only get about 250ks from a tank with the old 3y engine so is still better and the better power makes it beeter to.

Surf10 old surf hes pulled the chev motor out, so just a roller I intend to strip of all its goodies
Has
Trailgear high steer (new)
rears up front
Coons in rear
14" shocks all round
Mr2 rear caliper swap with brand new prado discs
Spartan rear locker (new)
Ifs width diffs
Considering most of the after market bits are new but weathered, its a pretty good buy

Havnt yet lol. your cab and diffs off chassis sitting in garage.
Needed new windscreen in my surf found was rusty around it so getting that sorted.
Just brought a rolling body 1990 2door ln130 so prob guna sas that with your old goodys and swap 3rz etc into it never seen a 2 door one sassed before.
then restore the gold one with rust free bits from your cab, your cab would be the 5th of that shape ive owned and cant believe how rust free it is shame its missing the other half.
How did you cut the ifs out would a grinder and a few thin cut off discs do?
