Want to run 35s on a y60 swb safari, how big of lift kit will i need and also what other bits n pieces should i be considering....panhard/torque rod mods etc.

2' suspension lift and 1 1/4' body guard chop front and rear quarter chop what craydivers got on his y60 and it fits 35 silverstones no rub.

With a 40mm body lift too, no rub up front, very minor rub on rear inner guard at max articulation, this with brand new silverstone 35, note these are a truer 35 versus te earlier ones which were closer to 34's

What about a 3 or 4 inch spring lift? Would rather not body lift if I don't have to.

can do they lift and articulate well just got to watch the driveline angles for vibration and caster problems, you can do gearbox spacers, dropboxs or caster correction bushes if need be some people just get away with just lifting them without doing any correction and some don't

I've got a 4 inch spring lift run 35's, had to do a rear quarter chop and trim a bit of the guard at the same time.
On my 4inch kit I put
Shocks
Springs
Drop boxes ( these also push the front axle forward for clearance )
Front and rear panhards
Longer and stronger trailing arms
Brake lines
Might as well get a heavy duty tie rod as well.

can i get away with spacing washers on the radius arms to push the front diff forward and do away with the drop boxes? also what do you mean by a rear quarter chop?

Might be able to, but your caster is going to be way out if you don't use drop boxes, caster bushes wouldn't be that great for a 3-4inch lift. It's going to cost you over $2500 to do a 4 inch lift just in parts depending on what gear/brand you use and how much you can do yourself, if you cheap out it won't drive well on and offroad.
You are also going to have to cert it another $420(might be more now)

Probably not the best idea, front diff needs to move forward by at least 12mm. Rear of front guards are easy as to trim..they are one piece metal not like the rear guards which are double skinned. Drop boxes are a good option...don't pay too much notice to 'hanging up' on them info if you search online. Going 4" lift starts to get costly though and there's no guarantee you will be rid of the vibrations you will have.

ok no worries I might as well do it properly. im a diesel mechanic apprentice and just decided to take up 4wding. can do all the work through my work so that's easy and I get certs for free there too.
so do you think you could write me a list of what to buy.....I want to run 35 inch creepy crawlers, and to achieve this properly what exactly should I do and if you have recommendations etc would be appreciated. I have a tjm winch bar coming from aussie and I was going to put a 12000lb super winch in it....fair call?

May want to check if the winch will fit the bar.

I didn't have drop boxes on a 75mm lift at the time I put on my swb ,
now upgrade to drop boxes to remove the stiff front axle.
without the front arms point downward and cant lift, now level arms can lift better off road.
longer rear arms to quiet down drive line noise.
do panhards as body will be off centred to the diffs without them

Really need drop boxes or arms with offset pins if going 75mm or more lift. Which is best depends what you're planning to do.
