Moving Batteries

Im looking at moving my batteries (24v) from the engine and putting them in behind the seats in my ute.
My question is where can I get extended Battery terminals from to go that far. ?

any auto sparky should be able to make them up for you would be pretty pricey though as the cable has to be pretty thick

Good Idea I Have an old 300amp welder with near new heavy duty leads.

You don't need any cable as the one that goes across the engine bay from one battery to the other is long enough to go from behind the sets in a LWB to the starter! Seriously I've done in a LWB and behind the seats in a SWB as well.
You will need to get new terminals crimped on but any good sparky should be able to do that. From memory factory cable is 70mm so plenty big enough.

If you want to buy new cable then BOC sell welding cable that is double insulated and nice fine wire so easy to bend. Much better than battery cable and a lot cheaper. Use 70mm cable at least and if running a winch just use 95mm. Not cheap but it works great.

Electrical switchboard manufacturing companies usually are the cheapest for welding flex. What current does a td42 pull on start?

175 amp on 24 volt
50mm cable would be big enough for that distance 70mm would be better but 95mm is overkill and hard to fit anywhere as it doesnt bend well.
The factory link cable is large because it is 12 volt at that point, lower voltage requires larger cable to carry the same load.
