Cheers Jordan,
will be ripping the teeth off a few crownwheels with that combination

don't forget to add some longfield supersets or cromoloys to the wishlist
Re: Wanted: Lots of parts,(edit) Opinions Wanted
run an auto and change the gear ratios to 4.56 max.
The pinion's are too weak on the lower ratio diffs. This is compounded by the ability to clutch dump with a manual.
As stated above, biff 30 spline super sets at the front (and possibly chromos at the rear) axle. Make the driveshaft the weak link, these are easy to get out and repair/weld up when you are out on the rocks.

Ugly is a state of mind..... and the state of my truck!

Nah forget that auto shite!
4.88's are plenty strong enough, Ive not broken one yet, just build, or get them built properly as per Zuk's site http://www.gearintalls.com
Ive broken a trick 30 spline rear axle, never an r&p, whilst thrashing it on 40's.
Definitely need to put some RCV's in the front,

These are the people who made the old Longfields before Bobby died and TG bought them out.
Honestly for NZ conditions, I don't know if duals are worth it, 4.7's in one box is all you need I reakon, we do fawk all rock crawling here, I'd use low-low more times sticking the Jalopy on the trailer than out in the bush, that said, it is cool when you need it lol.
Build it lightweight, don't stick millions of horsepower through it and the Toyota drivetrain will be fine.

Re: Wanted: Lots of parts,(edit) Opinions Wanted
IMO, go patrol axles front and rear. No stupid steering to rip off like on toyota knuckles, bulletproof diffs, strong housings and cheap as. LSD's are cam loaded so work extremely well. Not as good as having lockers but you can add them later easily enough.
Makes it a very cheap and nice, wide axles, and still stronger than if you went out and spent thousands on the piddly little toyota diffs.
In terms of transfercases, to be honest there is very little point to them apart from wank factor. Having had a set of duals, I was always happy with standard low range and used double low for shits and giggles. The next truck I built went to an auto and a single case for ease and packaging.
