Does anyone know how the counterweight thing comes of the motor shaft? Is it threaded on there, or pressed on, or... ?
I'm talking about part number 28 in this diagram...
I'm giving the old compressors some TLC, and would like to be able to replace the motor bearing, just need to work out how to get the counterweight off.
Jeremy, it unscrews but when I did it a few years back it needed several sharp & swift taps with a drift and hammer to start it. With the barrel removed I went down from the top.
