So i have had a new body that i picked up for 100 buks as my black truck is fecked even more so knowing i had another body , so went out wilsons the other week and fecked ever panel on it
Trying to drive through dense bush up rivers etc
all that fun stuff ,
I took some pics of the progress today but so far
we have spent over 50 hours insuring it is completely rust free,
Remove the body from the chassie stitched a new front end on it , remove all the body to floor/sill mounts , inner sills and all rust prone areas , repairs to near the fire walls where they all go , removed the roof (they all rust from the inside of the roof out ,
Finally this weeken i spent all day removing the sound proofing , and just started by marking and cutting the rear quarters ,
over the next few weeks i will bend up a 44mm half cage (Using my pro tools 105 bender ) , then filling any unneeded fire wall holes , then to sand blast and get my good mate steve from STEVEN SOLE CUSTOMS to paint it ,
The truck the body is going on currently has the following ,
Tough dog , gearbox spacers , castor corection , 45mm bore adjustable shocks , rtc damper , adjustable panhard rods ,
35" simexs , avm heavy duty hubs , garrett axt turbo kit , modied injector pump running 25psi boost , quarter chop , 2" body lift,
,I have all new brakes ,rotors pistons , wheel bearings , hub swivel kits , to fit and another chassie as i have snapped mine in the rear end , i am also going to brace up the front diff and chassie , change the fuel tank etc , as i am well renown for being reasonably hard on gear!!!!

Mondays back so i had to get back to all of the customers cars , here is a microtec ecu loom i have almost completed for a 13bt rx7 race car ,
Much better than chipping on sound proofing in 34 degree heat ,

So we made new gutters , banged a new roof on , fixed every known rust place on these salt buckets and also threw in a 44mm ewt half cage to mount the harnesses on then dropped it off at Steven Sole Customs for some Kawasaki Green !!!

And in the last few months we have done many a bar , exhaust etc etc , heres some picks
First is a 80series road truck tig welded and and powder coated ,

Heres a surf i modded the front bar for the winch , Custom made the rock sliders and rear bar , all tig welded and removeable , powdercoated etc ,

We make lots of manifolds , exhaust etc for those of you that need truck work in Taranaki we also stock a huge range of lift kits light bars winches etc , Heres some manifolds we made for my quad rotor pp engine

This is our new Gu we replaced the gq with ,
Just installed one of our Tough Dog 6" lifts with our Trundles Automotive swaybar extension , Trundles Radius arm spacers and prop valve spacers , Just Waiting on the airbag approved front bar so The mrs can ram hondas if they get in the way

So it only took two trips and my mate rolled the number two truck so figured may as well fit the decent one !

Reftting new body , Turbo is a holset rs , tial 44mm external , merge collected manifold , modded pump , 100x600x300 fmic , H/d clutch , billet hubs , 45mm big bore internal stopped tough dogs ,rs drag and tie rod links , bead locks , simexs , adjustable panhards , rtc damper ,

Did a few more mods on the white truck to fitting one of the bumpers and light bars that we stock and am training my daughter to offroad , (she is only 5 months not sure if she understands yet , ?)

Almost there , Just needs an exo cage , front braced diff and diff lock fitting and the rear lower extended arms and a few other minors ,
I have used parts from 15 different trucks so far to build it , Hopefully i can do more than two trips without rolling it this time , lol lol

Just finished the snorkel off doom 4" i tig welded up all the box etc and ha the whole lot powdercoated ,
Truck also went through cert etc , Just need to do the inlet manifold , build a big pump and do the injectors , I also and going to fit one of our new genuine rocker shafts we stock and reface the rockers ,
Hoping to get above 200 + rwkw

Do you have any trouble with rain water getting into the air box?
Our snorkel is similar and has a water drain part way along, but when racing in anything more than light rain we end up with a lot of water in the air box. We're still looking for a good solution.

5 psi more boost and call it water injection ???hahahah ,
I may have to get one of those rubber dongles our of factory airbox that looks like a duck beak maybe , Either that or some kind of stocking and a zip tie !!!

You can buy duckbills from any marine shop. Just fit one in the bottom of the air box. That's what I do.
