do extended shackles need certed?

Hey easy q for those that no do extended shackles need certed?

I've made a set for rear of my navara should give around 30-40mm lift ma and thought id check

I would say no ... but not specifically mentioned in LVVTA thresholds .... have a read & see what you think ..section 9-1.
Might be needed if you have done other mods tho.

I had them in my old hilux and had some made for my fj40 cruiser and have never had a problem with getting wof's

Just to add to this does any one know tge pin size fot d21 shackles I made the mistake of making them for bot size

Not a grey area at all. If its not ok'd in table 9-1-1 (I don't see it there), it needs cert.
Sure it may be missed in wof inspections, however that doesn't make it legal

Using your theory you would also need a cert for installing a Thule box on the roof , as it raises the center of gravity effecting stability.
The shackles are a direct bolt on using the factory mounts so are ok in another part rules .
