KUN26R Bump stops and UCA rubbing

Post by soulja-on »

Hi to everyone! Im in Palmerston North and relatively new to off road express.

I have a couple questions that I hope someone could help me out with.

Firstly does anyone know where i can buy some extended bump stops for the front of a KUN26R hilux. Ive lifted it up 55mm and after reading some stories through numerous sites i feel its a must considering the possible damage. Maybe someone has done a DIY job?

Secondly after lifting my lux I threw some new 32'' MT feet on her. My little dilemma is my tire is about 5mm from the UCA and on full steering lock it does rub slightly on the UCA. My plan was to either run the 25mm UCA ball joint which i think would bring the UCA up enough to prevent rubbing OR purchase some 10-15mm wheel spacers, which can also run the risk of rubbing on my guards. If i went with the wheel spacers does anyone have any recommendations? I also thought about a better offset wheel but i really don't want to buy wheels if i can avoid it.

Any help/input is greatly appreciated.
Cheers
