v6 vitara mods

hi all

so i have a 1995 v6 lwb vitara, I have so far fitted some 225/75 R16 hankook dynapro MT which look cool but rub as i suspected they might.

i am thinking of putting in a 2" body lift and 1" wheel spacers to stop rubbing and the wheel spacers will help with stability when i put in the 2" suspension lift, these have to be cirt'd i know.

since i have to get a cirt is it worth going to 2" wheel spacers they cost the same and will give me a wider track, will these trash the wheel bearings worse than the 1" spacers?

also what else would be worth chucking on the cirt at the same time

forget spacers get your rims flipped and/or beadlocked, chuck them on your cert

is getting the rims flipped just having the centre cut out and welded in facing the other way? are beadlocks worth it they seem quite expensive

dunno if its worth it or not, on an only offroad truck it is, on a daily probably not,
and yes flipped is cut and rewelded the other way round.

I fitted 245/75/16 to my lwb v6 and the rubbing is pretty easy to over come.

Front:
Spaced front bumpstops down 3mm and adjusted the steering stoppers so the tyres don't rub on the chassis at full lock.

Rear:
Space the rear bumpstop 5mm down. Trim the plastic from the door where it rubs, cut of the metal from the front of the inner guard back and hammer it back in so it wont catch on the tyre.

The other option is to do body lift which is more work but will make it easier to fit large offset rims (if you can find them in 16")
