if you don't want to sit in 1st gear all day shove the 3ye on the trailer and tow it with your v8 :D

 i know exactly what to expect speed wise,im thinking 5th gear low range with hubs out and down the back roads,v8 aint close to road worthy or bush really but it wont get fixed sitting at the brother n laws 50 odd km away, need it on my back door step type thing

braked tow rating should be around 2500kg so it should still be within legal limits, it wont be fast but so long as you aren't doing any hills or wanting to sit on 100kph on the motorway you could do 50km's but you'd want to keep an eye on the temp it'd be hard work for a small (and old) engine :D
