got a terrano

Ok guys i just picked up a 3 door terrano for $300.oo with a blown gearbox time to get serious with it gonna stick with the smooth power of the TD 2.7 n most like run some LPG with the diesel to up the hp ifn i rember rite u can get up to 75% more power with it. The new 31.5 x 10 hankooks arrived with new shiny white spoked rims stupit fark at tire shop cant listen i said five n he got four oh well it keeps it off the floor for now gonna body lift it oh yeh also got a winch have arrangeged with a buddie to fit a roll cage just in case u never know so mean time ill keep the mistral for a few trips while building the Terrano n it will fit on the back of my Mitsi Canter to get it to where ever if nessary or ifn i dont bother to register it again so im open to sugestions on what to do with it oh yeh with out being rude cause i know where to go ive been told to go there a lot of late

Manual or auto box? If it's a manual they can be rebuilt quite cheaply, providing nothing major has munched itself.

all i know is it has 3rd gear only and this is the 3rd or 4th time the guy has blown the box in it so im thinking about turning it into an auto ? whata you think

Hi Long, good deal on the terrano, 300 bucks aint bad at all

The LPG is good for 25% apparently, helps burn all of the diesel instead of turning it into black smoke, lots of info on the net.

You need to post some pics of the new machine.

To stop the gear box munching it's self again once you have got it fixed is simple. Take the gearlevers out and put 5l of 80w90 in the box. It was a design fault witjh those box's, the filler plug was two low and the box's always run dry. Stick with the manual
