Have visited this site for quite a few years and have met mudgripz once or twice. I've had a Safari for almost 13 years and been very impressed with it. Also a couple of Bighorns for young fellas to bash about in on camps.
Had the odd mishap on the way. Found out diesels don't like to drink water; bet no one here knew that. I'd always wanted to do an engine change on something.
Now it is time to start searching and asking questions for my next vehicle.
There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count and those that can't.

Y60/GQ the good old silver top. I'd like to keep it but that is a bit tricky. It has gone AWOL since some thieving #$%^ stole it. So yeah, kind of need to find something else unfortunately. Two options Toymota Cruiser 80 series or another Safari. My left leg works better now so would like a manual.

Yeah, stuck square on top of the fence at the moment. Power doesn't worry me too much. Looking round here the Cruiser takes more engine/drive train maintenance than the Safari. The Safari has rust issues due to the double skinned roof trapping condensation. Personally I'd be better doing the mechanical repairs than the body repairs. I would like a moon roof like the high roof Safari; that could always be fixed with an angle grinder and work.
I'm tempted go to the dark side. With the pricing and my meagre budget I'll be into a fairly high mileage Toyota.
