1995 KZN130 Surf front windscreen defogger stopped working

The face and feet work fine but the windscreen unfoggerer doesn't work at all. All the settings have it blowing out the face and feet no matter what it's on. Windscreen one never works no matter what it's set on.

Is it something to do with the buttons themselves or some other mechanism likely at fault? What can I check? Anyone struck this before?

Is most probably a faulty servo motor. Temp control is by cable but position selection is by electric servo motor

If it uses the same system as the LN130 it could be the cable between the servo and the flaps. Mine kinks everytime it moves so I just reach under the dash while driving and manually move it once I've hit the button on the dash.

If you look up under the dash on the drivers side there should be some white coloured levers attached to a cable. It's basically next to where your left leg would be. Try pressing each button and see if it moves. If not the servo may be stuffed and is probably behind the radio. Again assuming it is similar to the LN130.

Sweet thanks for the info. will have a look at the cable in the morning when it's light and then the servo in the weekend if it's not the cable

Ok had a look underneath and CRC the shite out of everything and it still won't go all the way. Can hear the servo going, and the cable will pull right in so it'll go to full face mode but the farthest out it'll go is to the feet, I have to push it by hand to get it on the windscreen and hold it there, if I let go it'll be a mix of feet and piss all on the windscreen.

Can I shorten or lengthen something at one end or do something to the servo to get it to be tighter or have more umph to push it out right the way?

Or is this what happens when the servo is on its way out?

**EDIT: It's different to LN130 as it's a lot diff to what you explained above
