Wanted - Safari Diff Head

Post by Weemsy »

I'm after a diff to make a matching pair, so I either want a

4.875 MK/MQ Rear Diff Head

Or

4.1 GQ Front Diff Head

I have a GQ complete front axle with a 4.1 & an MQ complete rear axle with a 4.8. Need to match a pair!

Can do swaps/trades or cash

Closer to Hawkes Bay the better!

Cheers

Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set.

so are you after a 4.1 gq front diff or rear diff?
you request a front gq diff at 4.1 but then state that you already have a complete gq front diff?

I have a 4.1gq with a air locker already fitted.
im looking at selling this and going to a lsd pump up unit instead.
pm me if keen

I have a front and rear head here.

Catch is I pulled them both apart to see if I could make a hi pinion rear diff out of the two like the Aussys do.

They are both reassembled with all parts there, I just never bothered to set them up again. They are just loosely reassembled.

Realy good condition.

Make me an offer :)

When you get back to it I have a 4.1 front and have been trying to find a 4.8. So would be keen to swap. I also have 4.1 rears which would be better if you are going to put it in the rear as then running in the right direction. Obviously talking R&P as axles have different spline.
Got a mate in Tauranga so could organise to do the swap there if that helps?

Righto, back to it (for now anyway)

Darinz, is your 4.1 rear for an mq axle (31 spline)?

The 4.8 I have is an mq rear, if that's what you are after?

May be heading to Auckland for a couple days within the next week or 2, so can meet up then.

I have GQ front (31 spline) and rear (33 spline) plus a Terrano rear (31 spline but 4.3 ratio). I guess what you want is a GQ front centre with a rear R&P so the gears are the right way. Just tell me what you want as I'm happy to do two for one. All I have to do is pull them out of the diffs and can get them to Auckland or Tauranga pretty easy. Worse case is a bit of freight but could strip things and send just what you want.

I've got a fair bit of stuff lying around left over from my build so......
