Quick spotlight mounting question

Post by Jerm »

Hey all,
Just got some IPF lights for my Hilux and they come as 1 spot & 1 driving beam, so my question is does it matter what side i mount each light on like does 1 type of beam work better on a certain side or does it make no difference?
Cheers

both are the same. i havn't noticed any difference between them.

btw anyone know how to wire those so they run off the high low light switch ie driving beam when headlights on low and on spot when on high beam. but still use the existing IPF relay and wiring?

Tap off the high beam cable to switch the low amp side of the relay
This way when you dip the lights the spots will turn off as well.
The spots should still be on a separate switch tho

the stock relay setup uses 4 relays and all black cables :(
currently with high/low switch and on/off switch.
