Trip around Southland / Otago just after New Year

Post by IcedJohnno »

Hi All
I will be in the Catlins for New Year's eve and am wanting to explore for a few days, perhaps from the 29th thru to the 4th.

I have a reasonably well set up 71 series Prado, thats the solid axle one, with twin lockers etc.

Is any one else keen to look around, or perhaps show us, some good country with decent fun tracks in these areas?

Am looking for more vehicles cos although I have the self recovery gear I prefer to travel with others. Its just easier!

I will probably be ending up in Naseby for some Mountainbking after this.
Cheers John

Any one keen to team up for a play in Southland?

I am thinking of looking around the Borland Lodge area and tracks near the Mavora Lakes either late on the 1st, or on the 2nd or 3rd Jan.

Or if there are any good tracks nearer the Catlins we could have a play there on the 1st.

Cell me after Early Saturday Morn; 0273 400 100

Cheers John

Thanks Kaney
Any idea where you will be or what tracks you will be on, on particular days?

I will be in Central during the week as well, wending my way slowly north.
