Queens Birthday weekend

Post by 85BJ73 »

Well, we made a start on our recently acquired 40 series: we got all our parts that came with the truck labelled and put away. The alloy wheels taken off, and my wife started polishing them up, and a set of steelies fitted, the alloy wheels will have all terrain tyres fitted, and the steelies will be kept for mud tyres.
Next the after market rear lights were removed in preparation for original ones being fitted, fuel tank sender unit tested, and tank inspected for diesel bug (none found) electrics tested, broken front indicators removed and all the stickers the last owner had on it were removed. Rear spare tyre rack unbolted, and the std running board/steps will be next off, ready to be straightened.
Would anyone be able to help out with a picture of where the power steering pump mounts on the block? I want to convert this to power steering.
Cheers,
Shane

Had a club trip up Porter's Road. Only 4 trucks. Went in Sun arvo, camped over night & out again on Monday. Heap of fun, the highlight being a suzuki climbing a hill with only 1 wheel on the ground for a while & my terrano making love with a bank  (thank god it's all Pumice)

Fixed the electric windows that didnt like going up when wet.
Took one of the window rubbers out and washed it in the bath when wife was out, lots of dirt came out.
Found the window angle adjustment, all works great now.
