Anybody messed around with goofy leaf 3/4 ellipse springs on the rear? Just stumbled across it and got me thinking..being a cheap ass and all lol.

An auto locker will be about the same amount of work but will work far better, hands down the best mod I did to my samurai after a set of MT's. :mrgreen:

Yeah just thought it looked like an interesting concept. But I suppose you are right the only point to massive down travel is to stop wheels lifting and keep traction. Its got a trusty "weldwell" locker in the back so should be fine lol

Will give you as much down travel as the shocks will allow
But the compromise is loss of stability on side slopes, this allows the suspension to "unload" not as bad as scissor shackles but still will make the truck "floppy"

what about if you added a swaybar?
just thinking there has to be a way to counter the unload effect....
since the topic is "Goofy Leaf" not how best to modify your ....whatever :D
problems are only a problem if you not willing to learn how to find solutions
