Some Vitara Parts For Sale

Post by Pico42 »

Figure I will get a better response in here instead of the Parts 4 Sale section...

Open to offers on all items - quick sales preferred (ie in the post by the end of the week!). All items are currently in Queenstown, but there is scope for us to send them to Dunedin or Christchurch in coming weeks. Perhaps even Wellington it you can wait until Easter...

1) Monroe Struts, standard height. Seemed good when we used them, have moved on to longer travel struts. Purty daffodil yellow. One boot, the other may be around, but no guarantees.

2) Bits4Vits steering shaft spacers. Extends the length of your steering shaft to allow for a body lift. We have since changed steering shafts as part of the upgrade to power steering and no longer need these.

Here is a link of the new product
http://www.bits4vits.co.uk/store/vitara ... od_32.html

And what they look like now in the steering shaft.

3) Warn winches

I have two warn winches - one is a M5000 and the other is a M6000. As per the picture below, they come with wire rope, solenoids and heavy duty (welding cable) wiring. Our control box was mounted in the drivers corner against the firewall under the bonnet.

EDIT: Both controllers are also there - just not in the photo for some reason.

The M5000 seems to work OK - we wound the cable on with a battery and jumper leads. But we never used it installed in the vehicle.

The M6000 does not work. It burnt out on us one day during use and the electrical problems would need to be sorted. This is a problem inside the motor itself - the solenoids are OK (in fact one is new).

They are as heavy as they look, so shipping them anywhere would be a pain. But could be a good cheap option for someone willing to read up on electric motors and doing the spanner work. We have a new winch now of much larger capacity.

4) Body Lift

Nominally a MDPE 2" body lift from Trade Me, I added some steel disc spacers to get more height and stop the body lift blocks pressing into the factory rubber pucks. My best estimate is 65mm lift over factory. Elegantly finished in a mixture of Otago river silts and Reefton mud, these could do with a clean and some CRC or WD40, but are entirely functional.

The key parts are the blocks and the female threaded bolts to fit the captive bolts in a Vitara.

We have gone higher again with a 3" Bits4Vits body lift.

Have re-read my thread and see I wasn't clear about prices - this is all available cheap! Make an offer, you might be surprised by what I accept.

Hi, thanks. The body lift is now spoken for.

I can access all these bits during/after Easter if anyone is interested.

Body lift is sold.

The other parts are now all in Timaru, readily accessible at any time should someone want something.

Also have two other bits for sale

1) Calmini Idler Arm Brace - this is unused. It suits 1989 - 1994 Vitaras, on the 1995's & 1996's there needs to be a wee tab welded to the chassis for this to fit. So we went with a heavy duty idler arm itself instead.

More info here https://calmini.com/detail.php?b=2&m=5&t=2&p=683&n=

2) Calmini strut spacers from a 3" suspension lift. Well used, but in good condition

Both of these are located in Dunedin.
