Wanted, 5.29 for gen 2 auto Pajero (jtop) (FOUND)

Try wreckers.... The 2.5 diesel LWB should have the 5.29 as well.

Hi, I have 5.29 diffs sat in the shed from a 92 Diesel soft top. Front is the smaller diff which is why I changed to 4.865 as they don't do a locker for it. Rear one is factory air locker. What are you looking for, crown wheel and pinions or whole lot? Would want $1000 for complete rear axle and front diff. Rear axle includes locker electrics, compressor, brain, switch etc. I'm in Rangiora. Cheers Andy.

I only need the crown wheel and pinion, I already have some lockers i want to install them on.

I also just remembered the soft tops have a 9" rear diff, i think..? my rear is 8". I actually have a 5.285 9" rear sitting in the warehouse already.
So only the front would be useful to me, i Dont suppose you would be interested with parting with the front only?
I have tracked down a new 8" for the rear if I need, so half way there.

You won't get a locker for the 5.29 front as they never came out in 8 inch. You can however put the 8 inch rear 5.29 from gen 1 paj into 8 inch gen 1 low pinion front and get a front 5.29 air locker that way.

Getting those bits would be getting hard to find now I'd imagine

Any yes, all gen 2 pajero a had 9 or 9.5 inch rear diffs. The 9.5 never had 5.29's.

I already have a locker made for the 7.25, it fits! I have bolted a crown wheel on, I spent a long time tracking this down. Will share the info once its installed and i can prove 100% that it works.

I also have the large 9 or whatever size it is in 5.285 rear here if anyone wants one, $80 plus delivery. Thats what all Jtops are.
