Waikato (but may travel)

Post by wranglerbabe »

I am wondering if anyone in the waikato (or nearby) would be willing to help me get some mud on my truck? I have a rolling roster so don't often get weekends off but I am keen to go get muddy!

I am off this fri/sat (27/28 june), next sat/sun (5/6 july) and the following sun/mon (13/14 july)

I am a relative newbie, my truck is standard and has AT tyres so easier tracks are preferred. Also, I am pretty new to the area so I don't know where any tracks are other than Thompsons track (which I hear is closed due to the weather?).

So if anyone is heading out on these dates and wouldn't mind me tagging along, please get in touch :D

See the thread below about woodhill. Out in helensville area. It is a great place for new drivers as there is lots of tracks of varying difficulty to allow you to get used to how your Jeep handles offroad. And there is always a patrol team there to help you out if you get stuck, or you can tag along with them.

Forgot to mention entry cost $55 for a day at Woodhill. And the cost of repairs if you venture into the mudholes? Don't even go there...

Hey, thanks for the offer! I think that might be a go. So do you just get to cruise around having a play until someone needs your help?

Yeah pretty much - and head down the tracks in case any one is stuck without radio contact etc

Cheers,
