my 4 runner is crap flex in the back I measured the shocks and the length open is too short but the next hilux shocks that are listed are 590 when mine are 550 long

any one encountered this?

and if I go longer shocks ill need to space my proportioning valve down or extend the flexy line

and has any one spaced the panhard rod aswel?

longer shocks won't affect your ride height so you won't need to lower, lengthen or adjust anything.
If you gain any droop from a longer shock you may need to keep an eye on the length of the rear brake hose.

Are you disconnecting the sway bar for off road?

From memory I had 2" lift 80 series rear shocks in mine.
Had to lower the bumps by 20 odd mm but gained about 80mm of down travel (and already had more up travel due to the rear end of my truck being lighter than a normal surf and still running std springs).
Flexed it up in a hoist as was planning to cut and reposition the top shock mounts but after a bit of measuring I decided it wasn't worth it cause the new shocks basically fitted good as.
I was using the OME sport shock and they were brilliant.
