1996 disco 1 no go :(
OK boys, My not so trusty 96 v8i Disco is a no go. New battery, cleaned the airflow meter still nothing. Added more clean fuel, NOTHING!! Winds over and tries to catch but thats it. It doesnt have the fancy key with the immobiliser on it so that cant be the problem. Could it be a coil?????
Re: 1996 disco 1 no go :(
Fuel air spark. Discovery is usually spark.
Pull a plug and leave it connected to the lead and lie it on the block and crank it and check for spark.

Yeah I agree that would be a good start, even try that on the ignition coil itself.
Christ Its a bit of a crapshoot with such little information...
it could be many things, as simple as that little ign wire on the coil has been brushed off, to somebodys played around with the firing order, to that little piece of lead inside the dist. that contacts the rotor needs a roughen up with sandpaper, to there being a woman trying to fix it, to there being moisture in the dist. etc

As usual ensure your Johnson assemblies are in top shape.

Yep defineatly check spark. Ive had leads just suddenly decide to die on me in the past, had been out wheeling the day before, went to go to work the next day drove down the road and truck cut out. Leads had decided to quit
