Post by u13turbo »

Anyone done this before? Being 2lt an hilux/surl box will bolt straight up and I'm assuming the original transfer will bolt on the back?

its a lot of pissing about mate, gearbox, bellhousing, pedal box, flywheel, clutch, master cylinder, hoses, cross member, wiring, lvvta certification etc its a lot easier and cheaper in the long run to sell it and buy a manual one unless you just happen to have a spare manual truck sitting on the lawn ready to strip all the bits off :D

I understand what your saying but I've already got an auto one, and have spent a lot of time and money on it so wouldn't sell to buy another. I realise what's invloved with parts, just more after knowing whether surf or hilux parts interchange. Likes of the bellhousing should most definitely be a surf one. As for wiring, should only need the reverse sensor?(which is not need for a warrant, only need to wire up if I wanted them)

Thanks for the reply derk
