I have visited your country 25 years ago but then I was not into 4WD yet.
I have a KZJ78 Prado 1996 with 1KZ-TE 3.0td and A343F autkmatic transmission.
I have recently fitted a new cylinder head but still I'm afraid it tends to run on higher temps when "raced".
I like the torque in low revs which are much better than on a standard 1HdTF in the 80 series. But from 3000 and up its quite toothless.
I have read about conversions to 1UZFE but still not sure about the entire procedure. Our country is almost like Germany if it comes to technical changes on vehicles so before you start you need to present step by step what is going to be changed and get preliminary go by authority...
Can anyone who dunnit give a short list?
I understand that transmission fits well but needs control unit?
What is your experience on mpg or liters/100km?
Has anyone fitted intercooler to 1KZTE?
How does that compare?
I am at the beginning of that journey and look forward to your replies.
